Color Management Techniques
We’ve never done anything quite like this: we will track the complete reproduction chain, from digital photography through proofing and online publishing; or putting ink on paper, whether digital or conventional analog. We’ll look at best practices for controlling color all along the way, building and maintaining accurate device profiles, cross-platform device profiles and the use of color control tools like Pantone’s Colorist.

Held Tuesday, May 20, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the County Springs Hotel, Pewaukee.

Production After Hours - Spring Networking Expo - Featuring the Boogie Men!

WPPC’s Publishing Suppliers Expo and Paper Expo of the past few years have been wildly successful. One common reaction we hear year after year is how great it was to be able to visit with old friends and new friends in such a casual atmosphere. So this time we’re planning the same great hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, door prizes and camaraderie, but we’re going to eliminate the exhibits and add some games. We believe this will become a Spring tradition that will alternate with the Publishing Suppliers Expo. Time is still from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Digital Editions for Publishers

While online publications are becoming commonplace, they each have their own individuality and set of challenges. Going Postal! Strategies for Success
This very timely session will explore strategies for success and best practices to help you counter the impact of the extraordinary rate restructuring that went into effect this past May and July (for Periodicals Class). Rates for flats increased anywhere from 10% to 40%, taking many by surprise. This meeting will feature the USPS, printers, publishers and co-mailers. All of your mailing concerns will be addressed.
