WPPC's annual PUBLISHING SUPPLIERS EXPO is a sure sign that Spring is on its way. It is one of the most anticipated industry events of the year. Held at the end of a busy day, the EXPO brings together production professionals, print buyers, designers and executives – from magazines, catalogs and design firms – and exposes them to potential new vendors.

The exhibit hall is filled with printers of all kinds, paper companies, hardware and software providers, envelope and label manufacturers, mailing services and other graphic arts vendors. This year, we hope to attract social networking providers to the roster of exhibitors.

We will be giving away door prizes throughout the evening, provided by our exhibitors, and a cash door prize at the end of the evening. To be eligible for the final door prize, you must become acquainted with every exhibitor. Be sure to bring plenty of business cards for the drawings and for networking.

SPRING FIELD TRIP: QUAD/GRAPHICS

We are fortunate to have one of the world's most technologically advanced printers right in our own backyard. With its modern, productive presses, state-of-the-art finishing equipment and legendary QTI controls for color management, web and register guidance and automation, there is much to appreciate in any Quad/Graphics manufacturing plant. On this trip, we will be touring Quad's West Allis facility to see presses dedicated to short-run and specialty printing, and will observe 64-page presses and the co-mailing operation in Quad's Sussex facility.

Co-mailing is such an important component of reducing your postage, which is even more vital given the current economy.
